Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. Post-surgical massage is not your typical massage. These specific massage techniques are provided for clients who have undergone a surgical procedure and are now needing after-care, which is a blend of physical massage, emotional support and keeping them comfortable and stable throughout their entire recovery period. All our therapists are properly trained and will work with you through your individual pain tolerance. Your recovery is a personal journey, we will always adjust our treatments to accommodate you, while remaining effective in our goal for a quicker recovery. Each massage will include a variety of therapy techniques, including, but not limited to: Manual Lymph Drainage, Fascial Manipulation, General Swedish Massage, Dry Brushing and Cupping. The techniques used will vary, depending on your individual stage of recovery and tolerance. We follow your surgeons post-surgical massage protocol to enhance their work and get you to your end goal more quickly and comfortably.

If you are not directly referred from our associated list of surgeons, a mandatory initial consultation/assessment will take approximately 45-minutes.
Your initial assessment will include a personal plan for recovery, education on healthy vs potential abnormal symptoms, and lastly, a lesson on proper massage techniques that will be useful for your personal home-care recovery needs.

Ideally, we like to see each patient within 3-5 days after their surgery. It’s important to meet with us early on to assess how your body is healing and to prevent any damage being done by improper home care routines, altered posture which can be caused by inflammation in system, improper use of garments, and pain.
